Rules & Policies summer 2026

USE OF PREMISES:

LLSC is a private Club located on private property. As such, access to the Club and its resources is limited to paid members. Out of respect for those who have paid their dues, anyone who is not a member, or guest of a member, will be asked to leave. 

CLUB HOURS

8h00 - 23h00

CLUBHOUSE HOURS

Every weekday from 9h30 - 16h00 and from 19h00 - 21h00 and on the weekends for Summer Program events. 

GENERAL:

  • Be considerate of others and of Club property and equipment.

  • Clean up after yourself/your family - it’s everyone's role to take care of the Clubhouse and property.

  • Do not bring alcoholic beverages, glass, inflammable or other hazardous material onto Club property.

  • Dogs/pets are not permitted on Club property unless approved by the Board for a specific function; service dogs are welcome.

  • Automobiles, bikes and motorcycles are restricted to the parking lot.

  • Any use of the AED must be reported to the Summer Program Director (NOTE - the AED is located inside the Clubhouse on the main floor and it is accessible during Club hours).

  • If you notice any safety issues or suspicious activity, please alert the Summer Program Director.

WATER SAFETY:

  • Children may not swim on Club property without adult/qualified staff supervision.

  • At all times, observe land and water safety rules.

  • Do not run on or swim under the docks; push anyone into the water; jump or dive into the lake without proper regard to the safety of yourself and others; do not swim alone; do not swim after dark; do not swim after drinking alcohol; do not enter the water during lightning storms or when they are approaching.

TENNIS/PICKLEBALL:

  • Tennis courts are available for the use of Club members only.

  • Courts may be opened or closed at the discretion of the Summer Program Director.

  • New this summer, the courts will be accessible through a keyless combination lock. As a member of the LLSC, you are asked to keep the combination to yourself and to ensure the gate is closed when leaving the courts.

FIRE SAFETY:

  • NO BONFIRES on Club Property (with the exception of a bonfire for a planned Club activity or Club event and the permission of the Summer Program Director).

BOATING SAFETY:

  • All watercraft must slow down to an idle speed of less than 5 km/hour when approaching the docks or swimmers from a distance of 10 m.

  • Unless there is a Club activity, event or function, no watercraft is permitted at the Club beyond 21h00.

  • Under no circumstances are watercraft permitted in roped-off or areas marked by buoys.

CLUB EQUIPMENT:

  • Club equipment is available to members free of charge. 

  • All equipment must be signed out by and at the discretion of LLSC staff.

  • All equipment must be returned on the same day unless other arrangements are made with the LLSC staff.

  • Members are accountable for damage to equipment.

  • Lifejackets must be worn; may be signed out by the LLSC staff at the Shed.

PROGRAM PARTICIPATION:

  • Club rules are intended to ensure the safety and well being of members; members who do not abide by the rules may risk losing participation in events and/or their membership.

  • Club privileges may be withdrawn, without reimbursement of membership, from anyone who blatantly displays inappropriate conduct.

  • Vandalism, harassment and offensive language will not be tolerated.

The LLSC (Board of Directors and Staff) are NOT responsible for any loss or theft or damage of participants’ belongings.

The LLSC (Board of Directors and Staff) are NOT responsible for accidents or injuries occurring on Club property, or resulting from participation in any Club event, or resulting from use of Club equipment.

PHOTOGRAPHY DISCLAIMER:

Photographs and/or video will be taken at the LLSC throughout the summer (during activities, events, lessons, etc.). Photographs taken may be posted on our LLSC Facebook page, LLSC Instagram page, posted around the Clubhouse and/or used in our annual year end slide show (shared with members).
